Before COVID, over 1 in 3 of all households in Frederick County lived paycheck to paycheck due to the high cost of housing, transportation and health care. Because of COVID, that number has increased substantially.
These families are known as ALICE -- Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed.
Join us today as we move forward United in Recovery. Your support will provide lifechanging pathways to financial stability for ALICE households who live among us, like our teachers, hospitality workers, first responders, health service providers, seniors, single parents, veterans and so many more who deserve our gratitude and our support.
This is where United Way steps in. We efficiently help people in our community who are facing barriers they cannot overcome on their own. We convert every $1 contribution into $3.21 in community impact for Frederick County's ALICE households.
