At United Way of Frederick County, we are fortunate to have dedicated community leaders whose time, talent, and heart have helped shape the organization we are today. Few exemplify that commitment more fully than Austin Pearre.

Austin’s journey with United Way began in 1990, when he served as a Loaned Executive supporting our workplace campaign. His commitment to our mission was immediate—and enduring.

By 1991, Austin had joined both our Board of Directors and the Citizen’s Review Board, where he began what would become more than a decade of thoughtful service. He remained on the Citizen’s Review Board until 2006, dedicating 15 years to the careful review and stewardship of community investments to ensure donor dollars were making the greatest possible impact.

In 2005 and 2006, Austin also supported our fundraising efforts as a member of the Golf Committee, lending his energy and connections to help strengthen community support.

Then in 2013, Austin returned to our Board of Directors, bringing with him a steady hand and deep institutional knowledge. His second term on the board—an impressive 12-year stretch—brought his total board service to 15 years.

Most recently, Austin has served as a long-standing member and multi-year Chair of the Resource Development Committee, where he has been instrumental in shaping our fundraising strategies and community partnerships. His thoughtful perspective, strategic thinking, and unwavering dedication have helped United Way evolve and grow in a rapidly changing environment.

Austin’s legacy is one of quiet leadership, consistent service, and a deep belief in the power of community. He has helped guide United Way through pivotal moments, always with humility and purpose.

Thank you, Austin, for your years of service, your leadership, and your belief in the mission. Your impact is lasting, and we are deeply grateful.
