What's in the News?! Chase Card Services' Inaugural Golf Tournament Nets More than $40,000 to Benefit United Way of Frederick County
November 2nd, 2007

FREDERICK, MARYLAND-Employees of Chase Card Services were instrumental in developing and hosting the company's inaugural Chase Card Services Charity Golf Tournament to benefit United Way of Frederick County (UWFC). The event, held in September at Worthington Manor Golf Club, added more than $40,000 to the current UWFC campaign. Committee members handled all logistics related to the tournament, including creating sponsorship packages and securing sponsors, developing and printing the brochure, obtaining prizes and manning the event.

"We couldn't have asked for a more dedicated group of individuals than those running this tournament for Chase Card Services," said Bill Kantz, UWFC president and CEO. "They absolutely took this event and ran with it from the start, and they should all be very proud of the outcome, knowing how many Frederick County individuals and families will benefit as a result."

A local, volunteer-managed organization, United Way of Frederick County invests in community impact by supporting programs that assist children and families, provide emergency services, offer health education and serve those with disabilities through its 23 partner agencies.
