What's in the News?! Jayne B. Bongard Named United Way of Frederick County 2007 Campaign Chair
July 26th, 2007

FREDERICK, MARYLAND-United Way of Frederick County (UWFC) recently announced that it has named Jayne B. Bongard as Campaign Chair for its 2007 annual campaign. Ms. Bongard has been employed with M&T Bank for five years. She currently serves as vice president and business banking relationship manager.

A resident of Ijamsville, Ms. Bongard has been a volunteer with United Way of Frederick County since 1987. She was elected to the Board of Directors in 2005 and has continued her work on the Citizens Review Panel as well as serving on the Campaign Cabinet for several years.

"I'm thrilled to serve as the 2007 UWFC Campaign Chair and I'm in the process of finalizing the campaign team," Ms. Bongard said. "We've had a couple of very successful back-to-back campaigns, yet we still didn't have enough money to meet all of our partner agencies' funding requests. I hope to change that with the upcoming campaign, and I believe we can by utilizing the right resources in this community."

Ms. Bongard currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Maryland Sheriffs Youth Ranch and Frederick Memorial Hospital's Special Gifts Committee. She is an active member of the Rotary Club of Frederick and the FSK Lions Club. She and her husband John have two children and are the proud grandparents of four.

A local, volunteer-managed organization, United Way of Frederick County invests in community impact by supporting programs that assist children and families, provide emergency services, offer health education and serve those with disabilities through its 23 partner agencies.
