United Way of Frederick County Benefits from Ben & Jerry's Free Cone Day
April 26th, 2007
FREDERICK, MARYLAND-More than 2,000 scoops of ice cream were served at the new Ben & Jerry's Scoop Shop on Carroll Creek in conjunction with Ben & Jerry's national Free Cone Day on April 17. Visitors that day had a chance to participate in several raffles to benefit United Way of Frederick County, which raised $730 through the day's donations and raffle proceeds.
A local, volunteer-managed organization, United Way of Frederick County invests in community impact by supporting programs that assist children and families, provide emergency services, offer health education and serve those with disabilities through its 22 partner agencies.
