Community Partnering Philosophy
United Way of Frederick County is the caring force that brings our community together to focus on key human service issues for the greatest possible impact and results.

The organization strengthens our community by its support of agencies that touch the lives of our citizens. Through its partnerships with employers, nonprofit agencies and volunteers, United Way plays an indispensable role in bringing together resources to address our most urgent social needs.

Focus Areas
Through our 23 local nonprofit Partner agencies, United Way of Frederick County

  • Supports Children and Families
  • Provides Emergency Services
  • Offers Health Education
  • Serves Those with Disabilities
What Matters.
We understand that success cannot be measured simply by amounts raised or numbers of people served. Success is measured by real, lasting and positive change. Success isn't the number of meals served to the homeless-it's getting people back on their feet and self-sufficient. It's not the number of children enrolled in day care-it's strong, working families where parents can provide and children can prosper.
