About the Combined Federal Campaign

Established by Executive Order in 1961, CFC continues to be the largest and the most successful workplace giving campaign in the world.

Giving through a workplace giving campaign is one of the least expensive ways to support nonprofits in raising funds and continuing to advance their missions. Donors can make a one-time gift or choose to give through a payroll contribution spread over the course of an entire year.

Over the last five decades, federal employees have generously pledged more than $7 billion dollars to nonprofit organizations, including the many nonprofit partners of United Way of Frederick County.
